Working hours across Canadian time zones
We work Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 22:30 Pakistan time (UTC+5). Live overlap with a typical Canadian working day is roughly:
- Atlantic (Halifax): until about 13:30 in winter and 14:30 in summer
- Eastern (Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal): until about 12:30 in winter and 13:30 in summer
- Mountain (Calgary, Edmonton): until about 10:30 in winter and 11:30 in summer
- Pacific (Vancouver): an early-morning window, until about 09:30 in winter and 10:30 in summer
Teams further west usually combine an early stand-up with written updates in Slack or Teams and the project board.
Contracts, IP and payments
We work from a written proposal and contract covering scope, milestones, acceptance, price and ownership. Billing currency and payment terms are agreed in the proposal, and we will sign your NDA before discovery.
On completion and payment, IP in the code and designs we create for you passes to you, together with the repositories and cloud accounts.
PIPEDA and provincial privacy laws
Private-sector organisations in Canada are generally covered by PIPEDA, and some provinces have their own laws — Québec’s Law 25, for example, and provincial health-information laws. These affect consent, transparency, breach handling and transfers of personal information outside Canada or the province.
We design for those requirements: clear consent and privacy notices, data minimisation, access controls, encryption, logs that help with breach assessment and hosting in Canadian cloud regions when you need it. Your legal adviser should confirm which laws apply; we do not give legal advice or guarantee compliance.
