Office, hours and communication
Our UK office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, and you can email the UK team at uk@devscot.com. Our hours are Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 22:30 Pakistan time: roughly 04:00 to 17:30 UK time in winter (GMT) and 05:00 to 18:30 during British Summer Time.
Most UK clients have a weekly demo call, a shared Slack or Teams channel and access to the project board, so progress is visible without chasing.
Contracts, IP and payments
We work from a written proposal and contract that sets out scope, milestones, timeline, price and acceptance. Billing currency and payment terms are agreed in the proposal. We are happy to sign your NDA before you share details.
On completion and payment, intellectual property in the code and designs we create for you passes to you, along with the repositories and cloud accounts it runs on.
UK GDPR and data protection
If your product handles personal data, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply, and the ICO is the regulator. You remain the controller of your users’ data; where we process it on your behalf, we can agree data-processing terms in the contract.
We treat these rules as design requirements, not paperwork. Typical measures include:
- Collecting only the data a feature needs, with clear retention periods
- Hosting in a UK or EU cloud region when you need data to stay there
- Role-based access, encryption in transit and at rest, and audit logs
- Tools for access, correction and deletion requests built into admin panels
- Cookie consent and privacy notices that match what the site really does
